Well .....

It was certainly worth travelling the 300 odd miles to get there but I was so tired by that time I dont think I enjoyed it as much as I could have.

It was fascinating to hear about the background and technicalities and very strange to be seeing the people I’ve admired for so long sitting a few feet away. Steve was really friendly and funny and Reece …. well Reece seemed to tolerate us all although admittedly the Q&A got off to a pretty excruciating start.

The cinema was beautiful and I hope the restoration goes well.

In case Steve ever reads this - the reason I hesitated over my daughter's name isnt because I’d forgotten - its because her full name is Josephine but since she was born I've called her Sophie for short - Jo'sophie'ne, see? - but for years now her friends have been calling her Josie, which I cant get used to so when I introduced her I didnt know which to use and ended up looking senile.

The travelodge really wasnt as bad as I'd expected and we had a good night's sleep but both had numb arses by the time we got back home about 4.0 this afternoon. Hey ho
